Repeat Prescriptions

Please allow a minimum of 24 hours when you request more medication for your pet. All prescription-only medication must be approved by a Veterinary Surgeon before they can be dispensed.

General practice policy is to re-assess a patient requiring repeat medication every three months, but this may vary with individual circumstances.

Please note
We require 24 hours notice for dispensing repeat prescriptions

Written Prescriptions

Written prescriptions are available from the practice.

You may obtain a POM-V (Prescription Only Medication - Veterinary) from the Practice, or request a written prescription and obtain the medication from another source, e.g. a pharmacy. Prescriptions for POM-V medications can only be prescribed for animals under the care of the Veterinary Surgeon.

A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is hospitalised or if immediate treatment is required. The costs of medication and/or written prescriptions are available on request. General practice policy is to re-assess a patient requiring repeat medication every three months, but this may vary with individual circumstances.
